MembershipThere are two membership levels available to colleagues wishing to join ICADTS – Members and Affiliates. Members must possess a demonstrated record of significant accomplishments in the field of alcohol, drugs and traffic safety. Alcohol, drugs and traffic safety is a multidisciplinary field of endeavor and Members are to be drawn from all the relevant disciplines and to include those with substantial accomplishments in policy development and program management as well as research. In order to become a member of ICADTS, individuals must be sponsored by two current ICADTS members and approved by a vote of the ICADTS Executive Board. Affiliates include those who have shown an interest in the field of alcohol, drugs and traffic safety and ICADTS. Affiliates of ICADTS enjoy the privileges of membership, other than voting and participation in governance. In order to become an affiliate member of ICADTS, individuals must be sponsored by one current member of ICADTS and be approved by a vote of the ICADTS Executive Board. Current membership fees are US$100 a year, which entitles members to a discount in the registration fees at ICADTS International conferences and includes a subscription to the ICADTS official journal Traffic Injury Prevention. Online access to the journal is also included. In addition, members also receive the ICADTS Reporter, the quarterly newsletter of the Council. A reduced fee ($US25) is available for members from Low- and Middle-Income Countries. |
