FOUNDATION

The ICADTS Foundation was established in 1997 as an initiative of the Executive Board to facilitate the funding of Working Group activities. The Foundation has sponsored the publication and dissemination of working group reports as well as provided funding for other groups such as young scientists, and workers in the field of alcohol, drugs and traffic safety from low and middle income countries, enabling their participation at ICADTS Conferences. According to the Constitution of the Foundation, its “financial resources shall be formed by subsidies and donations, gifts, bequests and legacies, the Foundation’s own capital and income from it, and other proceeds.” Current resources mainly originate in profits from the triennial ICADTS conferences.

The Foundation Board currently consists of the ICADTS President, Past-President, President-Elect, Secretary, the Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer. Additionally, Past-President Han de Gier has been appointed as consultant to the ICADTS Foundation Board by the ICADTS Executive Board.
