Awards and Recognition

Nominations must be made by a full member of ICADTS and be seconded by a full member. Candidates for the Awards can be nominated for their accomplishments in any of the following areas: behavioural toxicology, human psychopharmacology, forensic toxicology, epidemiology, law and law enforcement, technology, public information and education, public policy, legal medicine and social or behavioural sciences.

The next series of Awards will be presented at T2016 in Brazil in October 2016. Nominations are to be submitted to Mary Sheehan, Past President preferably via email: m.sheehan@qut.edu.au.

 

The Widmark Laureates

The Widmark Award was established in 1965 at Indianna University in honour of Professor Erik M P Widmark, whose comprehensive research during the first half of the twentieth century touched on all aspects of the pharmacology of alcohol.

 

Widmark Awards honour those who have made an outstanding, sustained and meritorious contribution to the field that has led to international standing and respect. Candidates must have an impressive record of accomplishments that signify pre-eminence in the field.
